Q – Is the jewellery hallmarked?
A – The legal requirement for hallmarking silver is that all items weighing more than 7.78 grams must be hallmarked, therefore all my items over that weight will bear my makers mark and be hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office. The items will be marked with the type of silver they are made from therefore may have 925, 960 or 999 stamped on them accordingly. Lighter weight items can be hallmarked as the customer’s request if they wish to pay the cost of hallmarking.
Q - What is the black colouring on some of the jewellery?
A – There are 2 different types usually seen on silver jewellery: one is deliberately caused and is referred to as oxidation, created using chemicals that are applied to the surface of the item. The resulting black colour is the end process and is called patination. The other is naturally occurring and the tarnish is likely to occur with time and wearing, this is not a manufacturing defect but the property of silver metal and can be removed by cleaning.
Q – How much is it for postage and packing?
A – UK postage and packing is free of charge. Items will require a signature on delivery. Items to be sent out-with the UK will be despatched using Royal Mail International Signed For service. Please contact me for a price for postage and packing if you require International delivery.
Q – How is my item packaged?
A – Your item will be posted to you in a branded jewellery box or bag and sent in a padded envelope or small postal box. I am currently striving to change to more eco-friendly packaging as my current supplies are replaced.

Q – How can I pay for my goods?
A – Payment can be made on the website via PayPal. I am also happy to supply my details is you wish to make payment by BACS. Items collected from me can be paid by cash.
